Professional Mixes and Masters

Like you, I am very passionate about my creations, whether that is a short story I write, a board game I make, the food I cook, or the music I create. I understand that you don’t want to waste your time and money on an unknown element that may ruin your creation. Here at Nate Kamp Studios I will always bring the same passion and dedication to your musical project as I would my own. With over 27 years of musical experience and 10 years of production experience I will bring professional and high quality work to your projects. Let’s make some music!

Professional Rock and Metal Drums

I am a drumming specialist (fancy way of saying I don’t really play any other instrument). To master an instrument is a lifetime pursuit, one that I dedicate fully towards the kit. I would love to say I’m a master drummer but that lofty goal is reserved for those that have spent their whole lives perfecting this craft. That being said, I am an excellent rock and metal drummer. If you want real, creative drumming in your music project, I’m your guy!

About Me

Hi, I’m Nate! I started playing piano when I was 4 until about 8 at which point I started becoming interested in drums and preparing to play in middle school. From 10 to 18 I played in middle school band, high school band, and practiced on my own almost every day. When I went to college I turned my attention towards engineering, however I never really got into it. I rediscovered my passion for drums and metal music and really wanted to push myself to become a metal drummer. Spending years learning, in and out of dozens of bands that never really went anywhere, I began looking at audio production, as I find the blend of science and creativity to be right up my alley. I spent the next few years in school getting my audio engineering degree and tutoring under Andrew Waltman of Moredoor Studios. Finally getting into 3 bands full of dedicated musicians and fully realizing my dreams as a metal drummer! I am now building my career in production as well as managing my hardcore band, Degreaser, and doing the production for this band as well. I hope my years of experience and my growth oriented perspective can help bring out the best in your music. I am excited to work with you on your projects and will dedicate myself to reaching its full potential!

Control Room

Moredoor Studios

Moredoor Studios in Fort Collins, CO is an amazing space owned by a brilliant sound engineer, Andrew Waltman. Waltman is well known in northern Colorado for his skill, intelligence, and attention to detail in the world of sound. This shows in the design of Moredoor Studios. Every room is built with the physics of sound in mind. The gear hand picked for its exact ability to bring out the best of the signal that runs through the walls. The atmosphere is exciting yet homey, keeping musicians relaxed, yet amped, to draw out their best performances. Waltman himself is a very friendly and patient individual with a warm presence that just makes you want to come back time and time again. The music that comes from this space is truly special.

How this will work

  1. Contact me with a basic Idea of what you want. Submission form is below.

  2. I will contact you for a creative assessment of the project. At this time I will give you the cost of the project.

  3. I will send you a contract form, this is for both of our protection.

  4. Once the contract has been signed by both parties I will send you an invoice. Once the first half is paid I will start on the project.

  5. After 1 week I will send a mix for review by you. At this time you can say what you like, and what you don’t, or any other creative notes to help your project go in the direction you want. I do implore you to give it a few days listen, and remember this isn’t a finished product just a reference so I know I am going in the direction you want. If you are just not satisfied your initial payment can be refunded, I will delete the mix and you can back out of the contract with no obligations what so ever.

  6. Once the first mix is done I will send it to you again for a mix review. Once you are happy with the mix I will start on the other songs. Each song will be sent for a review.

  7. Once the entire set of songs are mixed I will move on to mastering. Again, sending each master for review. Mastering is included free with all songs. You may also take the mixes to another mastering engineer, if you so choose.

  8. Once masters are finish we settle up with final payments, and I send you the finished product.

  9. Then we wait excitedly for release day!
